Eric and Abigail met when they were both attending orientation for the Early College of Macomb. One of Eric's favorite things about Abigail was her confidence to say hello when clearly we all were super uncomfortable at 16 meeting new people.

Eric and Abigail took some time to actually talk to one another... Their first hangout was at Tropical Smoothie where Eric told one of his best jokes ever about a golden retriever that never retrieved. They also spent time at Coney where he gifted Abigail a pig keychain that was his (this will come up later)! Then finally it all truly started when they both took a drive on Jefferson by the water and Eric gave Abigail a single white rose that he magically pulled out of his hoodie (How romantic, cue "awhs").

Eric proposed to Abigail when they were on a trip to the Carolinas. They had decided to take a hike before they started their day and Eric chose a hike along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The hike was in the Craggy Mountains in North Carolina and was one of the most popular hikes in the area. When they arrived and started their hike, Eric gave Abigail the pig keychain he had given to her when they first started dating. They then spent that hike talking about their relationship and how much they had been through together. Once at the top, they realized they were completely alone on one of the most popular hikes and from there Eric popped the big question!

Eric and Abigail are beyond excited to begin this new journey together and share this moment with all of their loved ones. They truly could not have gotten to this point if it weren't for the support of both their families and friends. Both Eric and Abigail are also very excited to have the opportunity to be married at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families, where both of their families originally attended mass. They cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
