Colin and Abbey met at Bluffton University. Colin first saw Abbey walking around campus with her basketball friends laughing about some joke. He said on the memory fondly, "that is the prettiest smile I have ever seen." He first met Abbey when she interviewed and got hired for the Tech Center, which he later went on to regret (she always made him do her job for her). Abbey first saw Colin longboarding around campus, and she had told her mom that she was going to marry that man some day. The couple was scheduled to work together at the Tech Center regularly (Abbey believes Colin planned on purpose) which led to many attempts of Colin asking her to go on group dates until she finally said yes. Throughout Colin's senior year, Abbey's junior year, the couple went on dates, getting to know one another. They shared the faithful kiss on Adam's Bridge on campus which is said to bring good luck and a life long of love for a couple. As life goes Colin graduated and left Bluffton, causing their budding relationship to come to a halt. Have no fear readers because although Colin had started his new life in Dayton he did stop by Bluffton a couple times over the next year to visit his friends, but also to check in on Abbey. A year later when Abbey returned home from Hawaii the couple reconnected. As if they had never been apart the couple picked right back up from where they started, officially dating from August 23, 2018. In those short three years they have bought a house, adopted two dogs (Zarah and Sadie), and a surprise skydiving session in Tennessee led to him popping the question on August 23, 2021. Many dates, mountains of laugh, and endless love has brought us to where we are now: the happy couple finally getting married.
