Hiking is available on the 150 acres of trails at the West Mountain Inn or on the Appalachian and Long Trails, just miles from the Inn. You can also visit Merck Forest and Farmland Center in Rupert with 2900 acres of woodland, meadows, ponds, and streams.
There are two covered bridges close to the area. Bridge on the Green/Arlington Bridge located off of VT Route 313 has water deep enough to swim in. Chiselville Bridge is in East Arlington on route 7.
In the summer, Bromley Mountain Ski Resort has a Mountain Adventure Park with alipine slides, giant swings, mini golf, and other outdoor activities.
