Smith Rock State Park
Located approximately 20 minutes from Brasada Ranch, Smith Rock State Park is a breathtaking destination for those wishing to explore Central Oregon’s natural beauty. Towering rock formations, peaceful river trails, and panoramic viewpoints make it an ideal spot for a morning hike or sunset visit. A $5 day-use parking pass is required and can be purchased at the park entrance.
Tumalo Falls
If you have a free morning or afternoon, make the drive to Tumalo Falls — about 45 minutes from Brasada Ranch and one of the most breathtaking sights in Central Oregon. The short walk from the parking lot leads to an incredible waterfall view, and for those who want to explore more, there are hiking trails along the creek. There’s a $5 parking fee at the entrance, so bring cash or a recreation pass.
Old Mill District
If you’re planning a day in Bend, make time for The Old Mill District — just 35 minutes from Brasada Ranch. Set along the Deschutes River, it’s full of local shops, great restaurants, and scenic walking paths. You can grab a drink, catch a sunset over the Cascades, or simply enjoy the relaxed Central Oregon vibe.
Downtown Bend
Just 35 minutes from Brasada, Downtown Bend is the perfect spot to spend a few hours exploring. Grab coffee, pop into local shops and galleries, or enjoy a drink at one of Bend’s many breweries. At night, the streets come alive with great restaurants, twinkle lights, and live music — the perfect way to experience Bend’s laid-back vibe.
