St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum
The St Augustine Lighthouse holds a special place in everyone's hearts but holds an even more special place in the Lanford's hearts. The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum serves as a scenic and educational maritime museum. It stands 165 feet above sea level, overlooking the Matanzas Bay and the Atlantic Ocean from Anastasia Island. Visitors can climb the 219 steps to the top of the St. Augustine Lighthouse for a spectacular view of the city and ocean.
Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park
With a long, rich history spanning nearly 500 years, the Fountain of Youth Park will delight and amaze you. While you are there take a sip from Juan Ponce de Leon’s Spring of Eternal Hope. Do you believe in eternal youth? P.S. keep an eye out for the peacocks.

Castillo de San Marcos National Monument
Built by the Spanish in St. Augustine to defend Florida and the Atlantic trade route, Castillo de San Marcos National Monument preserves the oldest masonry fortification in the continental United States and interprets more than 450 years of cultural intersections and serves as the oldest structure in St Augustine. Keep your ears open for the cannon firing and weaponry demonstrations.
Anastasia State Park
More than 1,600 acres of unspoiled beaches, tidal marshes, maritime hammocks and ancient sand dunes make this a captivating destination for visitors. The park’s protected wildlife area and trail systems attract birders, bicyclists, fishermen, surfers, and of course, sunbathers. They also offer Kayak and Stand Up Paddleboards to rent so you can have a memorable day soaking up the sun on the water.
