Ferry Service

The ferry trip from Vancouver Island to Denman Island is about 20 minutes and runs every 40 minutes if the ferry isn't shuttling. We encourage guests to arrive at the ferry terminal early to be at the ceremony on time. The Buckley Bay ferry terminal is often very busy during the summer (especially long weekends)! Be prepared for at least one sailing wait (40-80 minutes) for your journey across the water.

Accommodations

Denman Island has limited accommodation options. Accommodations for larger groups have been privately organized by Abby and Brock. There are limited AirBNBs listed for Denman and most of these accommodations are suitable for one or two people. There is a provincial campsite on the island that is conveniently located one block away from the ceremony venue. The campsite is Fillongley Provincial Park. Campsites can be booked online up to four months in advance. Sites are popular during the summer, so book early. Please let us know if you are having trouble finding a place to stay.

Comox Valley Airport (YQQ)

Comox airport is the closest airport to the Buckley Bay Ferry to Denman Island. The airport is a 35 minute drive north of Denman Island.
