Our Story

We met in Cincinnati, Ohio, while attending the University of Cincinnati. In 2021, we lived in the same apartment complex with many of our friends and quickly became best friends through countless college happy hours, football games, late-night talks, and summer cookouts. About a year later, we grew even closer and started spending more time together, just the two of us. When Abby was about to turn 21, she planned a trip to Nashville to celebrate with her family and friends. During that trip, Abby’s parents began to see Braydon as more than just a college friend. Soon after, Braydon asked Abby to dinner—just the two of them. Even though we were already best friends, everyone around us could sense the nerves and excitement of that moment. That one dinner led to many more, and on April 22, 2022, after a perfect day of cooking out and playing bags (or cornhole, depending on where you’re from), Braydon asked Abby to be his girlfriend. As time went on, we realized just how close we had become-we truly did everything together. Whether it was road trips home to Columbus and Chicago, concerts, vacations, or weekends at the lake, every moment felt easy and full of joy. Around Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, we love exploring new places, cheering at sporting events, and taking drives to bourbon country. Above all, we simply love being together-saying we are best friends is an understatement. After months of planning and conversations, Braydon organized a special day for the two of us. We started with brunch, then visited the Cincinnati Sign Museum, and later had dinner reservations at a new spot we had always wanted to try. As we were getting ready to leave for dinner, Braydon suggested making a “quick stop” at a scenic overlook of the Cincinnati skyline. In that moment, Abby put it all together and, filled with joy, couldn’t wait to say yes to the person she knew she would spend forever with. We were so blessed to celebrate our engagement surrounded by our friends and family. February 21, 2026, will always be one of the best days of our lives, and now we look forward to making February 20, 2027, our forever date—continuing to build a lifetime of memories together, hand in hand. We are incredibly grateful for everyone in our lives and cannot wait to celebrate our love and begin forever with those who have been part of our journey.
