Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We want you to use our wedding as an excuse to get dressed up and look your best. After all, you could use an updated profile picture. We are requesting that our guest dress semi-formal. We specifically request that our guest do not wear white.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We will be starting the ceremony on time, so please arrive 20-30 minutes before the ceremony. This will allow you plenty of time to park, say your hellos, and get seated in time for the ceremony.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding will be RSVP only, and we will only be able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. We have a strict guest list to stay within venue capacity. Anybody who is not listed on your invitation is not accounted for on the seating chart.

Our wedding will be an adult-only event, with the exception of our immediate family members. We appreciate you making childcare arrangements ahead of time so you can party with us to the fullest!

Yes! The ceremony and reception will take place at the same location. The venue will have coordinators guiding our guests to the parking area.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have obtained a discounted rate with Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mansfield. You can call them directly to book and mention you are a guest for "The Carrell" wedding so you can reserve a discounted rate at $159 per night. The cut off date for reservations will be 9/22/2023. We strongly encourage our guests to make lodging accommodations if they do not have a sober designated driver at the end of the night.

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed at our wedding! Please make sure to indicate this on your RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged! Meaning, we request that our guests do not take pictures or videos during that time. We have hired an AMAZING photographer flying in from Washington, and promise she will capture every beautiful moment. We would hate to have a well-intentioned person's phone device blocking a special moment that our photographer could capture herself.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Immediately following the ceremony, our guests can enjoy the cocktail hour where there will be live music, drinks and appetizers served. In the meantime, the wedding party and family will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour.

Of course! A complimentary open bar will be provided during the cocktail hour and reception. Just bring cash to tip the bartender! There will be an officer on sight to ensure safe and responsible drinking.

Why am I not invited?

Answer

While we would love to celebrate our special day with our entire family, friends, and special people we have met throughout our life, realistically that is not possible. We decided to fund the wedding ourselves and made the decision to have a smaller wedding due to this. We hope you can understand.

We recommend entering the address listed on your invitation into Apple maps as this will take you directly to the venue. Google maps is not as accurate with the address.
