Abigail and Rhett first met when they were confirmed together at St. Stephen Catholic Church, the church they will be married at in May 2022. Abigail was in 6th grade and Rhett was in 8th grade.

After having a crush on Rhett for six long years, Rhett finally asked Abigail out on their first date when he was a junior in college. Little did the two know then that they would be married on the 6th anniversary of their first date.

Rhett proposed at Empire Bluff Trail in Empire, Michigan, one of Abigail's favorite spots. Her middle school crush was now her fiancé and Rhett had found the person he wanted to share his life with.
