The venue has ensured us that its entire staff will be wearing masks during the wedding ceremony and reception. You may also bring and wear your own mask if you choose so. The ceremony will be outside and the reception will have all doors and windows open to allow proper air flow as well as spaced seating for dining. There will not be a self serve buffet, instead food and drinks will be served by staff. Hand sanitizer and sanitation wipes will be available. Socializing is not permitted inside but you can commingle outside by following social distancing guidelines. Staff will be walking around during the reception and ceremony sanitizing and wiping down handrails, door knobs, and any other highly touched surfaces. Staff is also required to have their temperatures checked each work shift.
We want you to feel safe and comfortable during our special day. That's why we will be providing COVID-19 Party Packs for your health and safety. Inside your party packs will be a 3-Layer disposable and adjustable face mask, individually wrapped sanitation wipes, and hand sanitizer travel spray.
For our wedding we will be providing a color coded bracelet system and will be asking all guests to wear the color that coordinates with their COVID-19 Comfort level. "Green" bracelets will indicate that you personally are okay with receiving hugs and high fives. "Yellow" will let others know that you are okay with talking to other people but will refrain from touching. "Red" means you would prefer to keep your distance. We understand that some people are not at the same comfort level as other people. We want to ensure that your health and safety is our number one concern.
We understand that because of Covid-19, not everyone will able to attend due to travel or health restrictions. For your safety and convenience, if you are unable to attend, we will also be hosting a live stream event on Abigail Langham's Facebook for the duration of the ceremony and a small portion of the reception. This way, you and others can still participate and be a part of our happy day, right from the comfort of your own home!
There is a possibility that the wedding could be postponed or canceled all together if COVID-19 Cases spike up again. Another possibility is scaling back our guests to immediate family despite invitations already being mailed. If this happens we will reach out to guests immediately. Hotels have already ensured us that free cancellation is available. As you can imagine determining if it is safe enough to have the wedding has been on our minds for a long time. Based on the social distancing guidelines the venue has implemented, we feel safe hosting the event. More than 90% of the guests are from WV and Ohio, which have more favorable infection rates than others. It is also possible that we tighten our guest lists on a geographic basis due to the safety of our elderly and more vulnerable guests. Thank you for understanding.
When you enter your RSVP information into the website, it will notify you if we have the space for you ENTIRE family. For the most part, we have only invited the children of our immediate family. Keep in mind there will be an open bar available, and everyone deserves a night off every now and then. ;)
As of right now no, but there is plenty of parking at the venue. Hotels are only 2 miles away, consider grabbing an Uber or Lyft to and from the venue.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are dress shirts and cocktail dresses. Wear comfy shoes for dancing and don't feel obligated to buy something new. We are happy to just spend that day with you! We request to avoid wearing jeans.
There will be an Open Bar for the beginning portion of the reception, after that there will be a Cash Bar.
There will be dancing and a DJ at our wedding. Due to COVID-19, the dance floor will be socially distanced and outside on the covered porch. The dance floor is distanced with tables to allow proper space. No more than 10 people at a time during dancing and all food and beverage items must stay at your table while you're dancing.
Please be mindful of proper guidelines related to COVID-19 in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We would love for everyone that attends to be healthy and go home healthy. Please wear a mask when out in the public, please wash your hands often, and please stay home if you are not feeling well. We will miss your presence but given the dangers of COVID-19, we will be understanding and thank you!
