FAQs

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

No children under the age of ten are invited to the wedding ceremony or reception. The only children under the age of ten that will be in attendance are the flower girls and ring bearer.

Question

How many nights do I have to book?

Answer

If you are staying at the lodge or another starved rock option you must book two nights. It is starved rock's policy for the weekend, so if you don't want to stay two nights there are other options for hotels. The reception ends at 11 too so it wouldn't be so bad if you'd want to drive home after.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is cocktail, also known as semi-formal. Think of it as the middle child between black tie (the most formal dress code) and business casual. Compared to a very formal dress code, cocktail attire gives you more freedom to branch out with colors, patterns, and accessories. Do NOT wear jeans, boat shoes, or T-shirt’s. Also please stay away from navy and yellow.
