- There is a wide variety of options to choose from for rental cars if you decide to get one vs taking the mountain shuttle - I've linked DIA's master list of rental car companies for you all to consider. Weather should be beautiful in August, so no car restrictions for getting up to Breckenridge. - It is about 2 hours from DIA to Breckenridge
