We're getting married!

Their love story began in Tampa, Florida where Abhishek and Ashna both attended the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!) They shared many mutual friends and would often catch glimpses of each other on campus and at the gym. It took some meddling friends to convince Abhishek and Ashna to go on a date and the spark between them was lit. Their first date was at Noodle and Thai where they shared their first of many meals together and bonded over their love for Thai food. The conversation was effortless, and they quickly realized that their personalities complemented each other perfectly. Ashna was very studious, always a little stressed and made Abhishek study at the library with her multiple times a week. Abhishek kept Ashna’s stress level low and made her take her head out of her books and enjoy the little moments in life.

Abhishek and Ashna continued to spend time with each other and quickly realized that they cherished each other’s company and wouldn’t let time or distance stand in the way of their relationship. Ashna moved to Fort Lauderdale to pursue a master’s program while Abhishek stayed in Tampa and worked. Weeknights ended with a late-night face time date, while weekends were spent reunited following long drives across the state. Little did they know this would only be the beginning of the long-distance relationship they were going to have. The 3-hour drive turned into a 3-hour time difference when Ashna moved to California to attend pharmacy school. But the distance meant so little when their relationship meant so much. Abhi and Ashna turned their obstacles into adventures (#AdventureswithAbhiandAsh), taking numerous road trips and vacations together on every long weekend they had. Like they say, ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough, to keep {Abhishek} from getting to {Ashna}.

After Ashna graduated from pharmacy school, she was overjoyed to move back to Florida to be closer to Abhi. Venice Beach, Florida was a special place for the couple and after almost 7 years of dating, Abhi took Ashna for lunch in Venice Beach. She was expecting seafood, but instead was surprised when Abhi knelt down on one knee in the sand and asked her to marry him. Without hesitation, she said “YES!”
