We met through a mutual friend in high school. Funny enough, we were supposed to go on a blind date together, but it fell through. We started dating other people, but remained really good friends all throughout senior year. Graduation comes and goes and I thought I'd never see him again. Every now and then we'd text, but nothing too serious. Eventually, we ran into each other over the summer at a carnival and I felt the butterflies. Not realizing he felt the same way since high school, we started talking and actually hanging out together with Aaron. Then one amazing night at Lagoon in 2015, we stayed until closing. Chris drove Aaron home first so he would have the chance to hang out with me alone. We sat in my driveway until almost 3 in the morning just talking and laughing the night away. When it came time to walk me to my door, he leaned in for a hug and lingered. As the hug came to an end he casually kissed me on the forehead. I couldn't help but smile because it felt so right. Eventually, he just went for the lips and BOOM! After 2 years of hanging out, laughing, deep talks, and just being together and enjoying each other's company, our friendship grew into something so much more. I knew he was special, the one for me. I just didn't think I'd get lucky enough to marry my best friend.
