There are several golf courses to play, Hanging Rock State Park is about a 15 minute drive with lots of trails to hike or bike just over in the town of Danbury, kayaking on the Dan River, small shoppes in the town of Madison, and more! Greensboro and Winston Salem are the nearest "big" cities where you can go shopping, find indoor and outdoor parks, breweries, museums, etc.
