Alaina and Bryce knew of each other through mutual middle-school friends, but they didn’t truly connect until Alaina’s best friend moved to Harbor Lights Lake. A tennis match organized by Alaina and Sydney brought them together, and after biking around the lake that day, a genuine friendship started to form. From Bay Port football games to middle-school bonfire parties, they spent more and more time together, always finding something to laugh about. Bryce’s first words to describe Alaina were “thoughtful and funny,” and Alaina described Bryce as “goofy and carefree.” By the end of fall their freshman year, Alaina realized her feelings had grown, and her friends (who definitely saw it coming) made sure Bryce caught on too. This eventually led to the conversation where Bryce admitted he didn’t want to risk their friendship. But anyone who knows Alaina knows she doesn’t give up easily. And on February 19th, 2017, Bryce asked Alaina to be his girlfriend, beginning a relationship built on years of laughter, comfort, and genuine friendship. A little over 9 years later, Bryce and Alaina are so excited to begin the next chapter of their love story and can’t wait to celebrate their forever with the people they love most.
