Abel and McKenna’s story started years before either of them realized it. Growing up, they ran in the same circles thanks to McKenna’s best friend Jacquie and her younger brother Torben—who happened to be one of Abel’s close friends. Because of that, Abel and McKenna were often at the same birthday parties, movie nights, and get-togethers as kids. They never actually talked. There are even pictures from those events where they appear in the same group without ever meeting. It wasn’t until Torben’s 21st birthday and graduation party that they finally connected for the first time. Turns out they had been close to each other for a long time. It just took a couple years and a few pine minds cocktails before they got acquainted properly.
