Camila and Abel met as children in church together, in Cape Coral Florida at the age of ten. They spent a few years in Sunday school together where Camila, admittedly, had a crush on Abel! After some years of no contact, they ran into each other at a mutual friends 15th birthday party. They spent the night trying to get a few shy spoken words across to the other, but alas nothing came out of that small interaction. (They wouldn't find out till they were dating that Camila attempted to get Abel's number and Abel had searched Instagram for Camila, both to no avail). After that night it would be four more years before they saw each other again at a local cafe where Camila worked. Camila would often make Abel and his family coffee but the two would never actually speak to the other, they just exchanged glances, and left it at that. A while later a well known pastor was speaking at a small church that neither Camila or Abel attended. Camila came as a Youth leader, the area that she serves in at her church, and Abel and his family were invited through their church to be there. Once again, they saw each other and this time Abel worked up the courage to walk up to her and have a conversation after years of only exchanging glances instead of words. In this brief three to four minute conversation Abel shared that he had a small coffee shop and that Camila should stop in some time. Camila came into the shop about a week later and Abel was working that day, she asked him what she should order and he recommended his favorite thing on the menu. Camila sat at a table furthest away from the bar, and from some place, Abel worked up the courage once again to ask if he could sit and talk with her as she enjoyed her coffee. He ran back and forth as customers came in, making sure everyone was attended to but quickly hurried back to the table to get a few words in before the next guest came into the shop. Somewhere in their conversation they brought up different foods they liked, one being the Vietnamese dish, Pho. After a few more exchanges of running back and forth from the table to the coffee bar, Abel asked Camila if she would like to go to dinner with him. "Would you like to get Pho?" Abel asked. "Yes!" Camila responded full of excitement but trying to maintain her calm. "Do you want to go tonight?" Abel quickly asked. "Yeah!" Camila responded without much thought. After their first dinner Abel said, "We should do this again sometime soon." Camila replied, "I'm going to Mexico for three weeks...." Abel said in a mildly defeated tone, "Well, when you get back!" (Fun fact: Abel texted Camila for the first time after three weeks the DAY Camila came back without knowing she was in America again). After Camila came back they continued going on dates, they found themselves awestruck at what God had been orchestrating behind the scenes in each other. Their hearts began to soften to the thought of dating seeing as both had been dead set on being single. Fast forward to a few more outings together, the couple bonded over their love for the Lord, and building the kingdom of heaven, and of course what brought them together, food. Soon after the couple decided to start dating with intention. They arrived here after many years of just missing the other, but meeting again, in Gods perfect timing.
