No, we already had it and have no plans to give speeches to each other because neither of us enjoys public speaking.
Abe kindly suggested afternoon tea, so that is the theme. We will have many pots of tea going all day—kettles, pots, cups, and tea provided. We will have many tea sandwiches available, potentially cucumber; apricot and cream cheese; egg salad; and PB&J. We also plan to have some pulled pork, home-made by the lovely Abe. We will have a separate area for gluten-free versions of all the sandwiches. (If you have a suggestion on where you would like the gluten-free bread to come from, email angela@flyingdodopublications.com). Abe will make the rest of the bread.
Anything or nothing! We are providing afternoon tea. So bring your favorite tea food, be it tea sandwiches, scones, mini tarts, or something else. If you hate tea party food, bring whatever you like, such as a veggie plate, chips and dip, or a roasted hog. We will nibble throughout the day.
Anita Boyle, mother of the bride, will provide croquet. We will also have tables set up with Star Trek Scrabble, Bananagrams, Boggle, Scattegories, and more. The glorious Aunt Carol (from Angela's family) will be providing lawn games, such as bean bag toss, large dice, and other throwing games.
Limited. Ish. Carpooling is best. If we end up with too many cars, we might have to do some transporting, but it will work out.
