How We Met...

Who knew you could meet the love of your life at a pig roast?

A mutual co-worker, and now one of our good friends introduced us. Tristan used to work with Tenisha at Regions Bank, and soon after with Abdul at Aarons. Tristian decribed Abdul to Tenisha as "One of the best guys he knew". On November 1st, 2015 Tristian's fiance Lindsay had a pig roast where both Tenisha and Abdul where invited. Mind you Abdul doesn't eat pork lol. During the pig roast Abdul and Tenisha had a conversation where Abdul mentioned a local Atlanta lounge, Cafe Circa. Tenisha stated she'd never been there, and Abdul said they should check it out sometime and exchanged numbers. A week later Abdul asked Tenisha on a date, in which she was hesitant because her mother was in town. Tenisha's mother pushed her to go out on that rainy night. Tenisha and Abdul went out on a date enjoyed conversation, drinks and ended their night at Cafe Circa. They began dating soon after. Both being lovers of football, they would watch college footballs games together and spend their Sunday evenings together watching 60 Minutes. Before meeting Abdul, Tenisha made plans to move to Dallas, Texas, and left Atlanta in February of 2016. The pair had a long distance relationship, but took trips to see one another every few months. Their love for each other grew and sometime at the end of 2018 they began talking about getting married and starting a family. In May of 2019 Tenisha was afforded the opportunity to move back to Atlanta. On October 18th, 2019 Abdul asked Tenisha (At her favorite sushi restaurant Oku), to Marry him and Tenisha excitedly accepted. We're so happy that our family and close friends will be in attendance to celetrate us tying the knot on March 27, 2021.
