Abby and Bennett’s story began in 2020 at Wingate University, where they were both members of the swim team. During their time there, they quickly formed a connection and discovered they shared much more than a passion for swimming. Together, they developed a shared love for the outdoors, spending their time hiking new trails, chasing sunsets, and planning their next adventures. Many of their favorite memories have been made while camping under the stars and exploring national parks. When they are not outdoors, Abby and Bennett enjoy watching sports, TV shows, and movies, and spending quality time with family and friends. Family has always been at the center of both of their lives, and the values of faith, love, and support that have guided them throughout their lives continue to shape the future they are building together. They also share a passion for serving others through their careers in healthcare. Abby works as a cardiac nurse, and Bennett will graduate with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in December 2026. Helping patients through their journeys is a calling they both deeply value and are grateful to share. Of course, their story would not be complete without mentioning their husky, Sadie Mae. She loves joining them on their adventures, and if guests happen to see a fluffy white blur of happiness on the wedding day, that is probably her. After all, she is convinced the celebration is entirely for her. Their story has been one of friendship, adventure, faith, and love. As they look ahead to their wedding day, they are excited to celebrate the next chapter of their journey with the family and friends who have supported them from the very beginning.
