We met on the online dating app called Bumble. Bryce was coming into Baton Rouge on the weekends and had seen my profile two months before Abby had seen his. He was patiently waiting for Abby to swipe right. After matching in July, Abby started the conversation off with a simple “Hey.” We hit it off from there and had our first date at Casa Maria.
Bryce took Abby to pick out her dream ring in January 2025. Since that day, Abby had been asking Bryce when he was proposing. He refused to tell her anything and that he had it planned. In March, they planned a crawfish boil at their house. Bryce was adamant that all their family be there. So, Abby thought this has to be the day. She went out and bought a new outfit on March 19 to wear for that weekend. On March 17, Mallory planned a girls dinner for that Wednesday. Abby thought this was like any other dinner. Claire, Presley, and Mallory made sure Abby was dressed cute and picked her up to go to SoLou. During dinner Abby asked if they wanted dessert. The girls replied no they all had plans afterwards and had to get home. As they pulled into Abby’s driveway Mallory blew the horn, which Abby found weird. She got out the car to find pink candles in the shape of a heart with Bryce standing there. It was the most perfect proposal: at our house, pink candles, my family there, and a total surprise! March 19, a day to remember!!
