In the summer of 2018, Abby and Austin met in 29 Palms in California, where Austin was stationed, and Abby was visiting for a field operation. As Marines, their journeys took them around the globe on missions and deployments, and eventually, they transitioned from active duty to civilian life. Despite their travels, one thing remained constant: their recurring connection. Since that summer, their adventures have spanned continents, countries, and states. Whether together or apart, every path brought them back to the same realization: home is wherever they are together. In 2022, Austin's move to Virginia confirmed this truth.
