On Abby's first day of college at USI, Zach was the Welcome Week Leader that helped her and her family move her into her dorm. They became friends, as they were both involved with the same on-campus ministry. Although Abby had a crush on Zach during that first year, sparks wouldn't fly until later on. On Abby's last day of college at USI (yes, the literal last day), she received a message from Zach, whom she hadn't heard from in awhile. He had been living in Little Rock, Arkansas for a couple years, but something compelled him to reach back out to Abby. That message quickly turned into a first date... & the rest is history!
