*JUNE FIRST* If something happens after June 1st and you've already committed, please reach out to Yash. We'll need to figure out how to move forward with trying to get a refund for that room -- would really like to avoid this scenario as there's a high chance of a monetary penalty.
This is an 'adults-only' wedding. If you ABSOLUTELY need to bring your child[ren] (i.e., you simply can't find childcare), reach out to Yash to help find find a solution. There is a family resort walking distance from El Dorado Royale, called Generations, but there are caveats and limitations to staying there.
Yes, assume a +1. If you need a room to yourself, please indicate [single] in the RSVP. Also, you could potentially share a room with a friend. However, you'd have to share a bed [there's only one bed per room] and also the bathrooms are "open". It's not recommended, but please do what works best for you!
Yash has blocked out some rooms for guests. You can upgrade your room/alter your dates after we confirm booking for you. You *must* be there the night of Nov 6, 7, 8. Total price [excluding airfare]: -Single [you're traveling solo]: $1218.39 -Double [you're traveling with a +1]: $1532.19 Included: All meals & drinks (including alcohol), transfer to & from airport, room service, and unlimited access and transportation to: Animal Rescue Ranch, Water park, Beach Club, Catamaran snorkel experience, wave runners etc. You can look into these extracurriculars more when you get to the hotel.
In short: No, though it's probably best because it includes all our membership benefits (i.e., transportation RT from airport to hotel). But, if you find a great deal via 3rd party, by all means -- jump on it. Costco travel sometimes has this resort (though it's rare). If you would like to book through a different site, please inform Yash!
The blocked out rooms are for Nov 6-9. If you decide to book through our hotel block, you *must* attend these dates. If you want to add on to your stay, you can do that by talking to the hotel (you'll get more details after rooms are booked). Arrival and hangout: Nov 6. Check-in is 3PM, but you have access to the resort all day. Abby and I usually take a red-eye the night before and get in early AM. We'll use this day to spend some time together and relax before the big day! Wedding, Dinner, & Reception: Nov 7, starting at 4PM. There's a beach wedding ceremony starting at 4PM close to where our rooms will be. The reception ends at 10-ish. We'll just move the party to a bar close by afterward. Decompress: Nov 8. You can either hang out with the larger group or do your own thing. More details in another FAQ. Departure: Nov 9, by 11AM, unless you've added on some days.
Yes, if you use the room block. You'll have to make your own arrangements if you use a 3rd party.
Yes, many. The nice thing about this resort is that's it connected to 2 other resorts via walking path. We have access to restaurants at all 3 resorts. The other two are: (a) Generations Riviera Maya and (b) El Dorado Casitas.
