Wil and I met in July of 2022 at Lake of the Ozarks. We were both there with our friends for the weekend. They came over to hangout that evening and I ended up going to bed before they got there because, “We were never going to see these guys again and I was tired.” Or so I thought. Our best friends ended up getting married two years later. This meant Wil and I had about 100 “double dates” with our friends until we finally went on an official date. We had been friends for two years before he asked me on a date. Two days before he asked, we were hanging out with our friends and I, for the first time, thought in my head “what if I like him as more than a friend?” I prayed about it that next day and said, “ If this is God’s plan, then I will say yes to a date.” The funny part about this is Wil had no idea that I had that thought and I was never planning on telling him. I was really putting it in God’s hands. The very next day, he called me and asked if I would go on a date with him. It was a quick yes. (: Before every single date, I would pray that God would give me peace about the date if this was His will or that He would tell me to not go. The biggest difference I saw when I was with Wil was the abundance of peace and fun I had with him whenever I was around him. About a month into dating, I prayed that God would make him my husband. And 5 months after our first date, we were putting Charlee to bed and I kept going on and on about how much I loved him and that I couldn’t wait to marry him and spend everyday with him. As I was telling him this, he asked me to marry him. Which was another quick yes. (: We are so grateful that God put us together and that we get to serve and honor Him as husband and wife. We are so excited to have all of our favorite people with us as we promise to each other and God that we are going to become husband and wife and use our life and marriage to build His kingdom.
