8 blocks of charming local shops and cafés, near where Abby & Travis live. It’s our favorite place to wander and our top recommendation if you have a few hours to explore Richmond.
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
This free art museum is the perfect addition to a trip to Carytown, as it’s only a few short steps away. It’s home to treasures like the famed Fabergé eggs and works by masters such as Picasso, Van Gogh, and Monet. They also have a beautiful sculpture garden we love to picnic on!
Riverfront Canal Cruises
Close to the hotel, this 40-minute boat tour of the James River offers a fun way to see the city’s waterfront and learn about its history — tickets are $15 per person.
Hotel Greene
This minigolf course—tucked inside a faux European hotel—is quick, whimsical, and full of surprises. Abby scored a hole-in-one on the 13th hole (and she has the t-shirt to prove it!). Good luck beating her record ;)
