Tommy and Abby met in eighth grade and then twenty years later, he finally proposed. Okay, we don't have to make the story *that* short.. Tommy and Abby were friends throughout junior high and high school and kept in touch during college and after graduation when Abby lived in New York and Tommy traveled the world with the Air Force. The "random" texts and Instagram messages, countless hours of FaceTimes, and serendipitous run-ins over the years were always well received by Abby since she remembers being "obsessed with Tommy Spiotta" ever since they met on the school bus as thirteen year-olds. Once the two of them saw each other for the first time *in person* in several years, they immediately knew that their friendship was about to change and become much more. Tommy admitted that day that he always thought about her and hoped they could be together one day, but wanted to wait for the time that they would have the best chance of forever, which is why he waited to really pursue Abby until he was no longer in active duty. When “one day” became a reality, Tommy was sure glad that his not-so-random check-ins helped him win the long-game.
