Totally up to you! We want you to be able to have time to explore this awesome and charming city. All are welcome at our Welcome Party Friday evening to kick off our Wedding Weekend Celebration. This will begin around 6:30pm! No worries if you can’t make the celebration on Friday, as we know everyone’s travel schedule will be different. We are just excited to see you for our wedding day on Sunday!
Our ceremony and reception will be taking place at the William Aiken House, which is located right downtown Charleston on King Street on Sunday, December 11, 2022! We do recommend you walk or Uber to the venue but if you do decide to drive there is metered parking on King Street and on Ann Street both near the venue. Meters are free on Sunday! There is also the Visitors Center Parking Garage located on Mary Street, two blocks from the venue.
Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome (if you have one and want to give it a night out!), and so are cocktail dresses and suits and tie. There will be portions of the evening that we will be outdoors, so dependent on the weather you might want to bring a light jacket! Don’t worry, we will have heaters throughout the outdoor area too and the inside of the venue is completely climate controlled.
If your invitation was addressed to your entire family on the envelope then all are welcome! If you are interested in nanny services in Charleston they can be provided upon request.
Even though it’s December, Charleston can still be 70-75 degrees during the day and 60-65 degrees at night. Last year was Charleston’s hottest December on record. We recommend to definitely check the weather beforehand!
Good News! Our venue is a mere 0.1 mile (less than a minute walk) away from The Brick, Charleston’s local Browns Backers Bar! We caught a Browns game there this past winter and we were surrounded by Browns fans! The game will be on a projector as well as many other TVs throughout the bar! The sound of the game is even on too! The Browns will be kicking off against the dreaded Bengals at 1pm! The ceremony won’t begin until the game clock hits 0 and the Browns are crowned champs of the Battle of Ohio!
