We're getting married

If you're reading this, that means you received our Change of Plans card in the mail. It is true, we decided to cancel our wedding. This was a hard, long decision that was not easy to make. However, we feel that this is the best choice at this time to ensure that everyone stays safe and healthy. Thank you all for being patient and we know you will all understand! With that being said, WE ARE STILL GETTING MARRIED! On the same date, with immediate family only, we are having a small celebration followed by a dinner party with our favorite seafood! We are so sad we cannot celebrate with you all, so we are planning on having a reception at a later date with all of you! Although this is such a bummer, at the end of the day we get to be married and that's all that matters! So think of us on July 11th, because it is still a special day! We cannot wait to see you all IN PERSON someday in the future, but before then lets all #StayHealthyWithTheHendricks

It all started back in January of 2014 when Abby attended a Super Bowl party (S/O to the Isaacs!) with her family in Chelan, WA. That's where her parents were trying to set up their two oldest daughters with Donene and Brian's two sons. After that party, Abby, being the strong independent woman that she is decided to look this Tanner Hendricks guy up on facebook. To her surprise she found a super cute, tall, blonde boy who played the guitar (a 17 y/o's dream amiright?) The two spent the whole next day (and few months) talking when they FINALLY were able to meet up at the Lake View Drive- In. After months of Abby finding any excuse to go to Chelan the two finally made it "official" that summer. Almost 6 years of long distance later... THEY'RE GETTING MARRIED and couldn't be more excited! The Proposal After years of trying to make it happen, both families were finally going to Stehekin, WA for the weekend! For those of you who don't know, Stehekin is a tiny community at the opposite end of Lake Chelan that is only accessible by boat or sea plane. Now, let's set the scene... Abby was driving to Chelan on a Thursday night to ride the boat up to Stehekin with Tanner and his family early Friday. Abby's family was planning on coming to Chelan Friday night and to go to Stehekin saturday morning. (Little did she know her family was right behind her the whole way from when she left Thursday night!!) When Abby and Tanner arrived in Stehekin, Tanner surprised her with a horseback riding trip in the mountains, dinner at the Stehekin Ranch and came back to a beautiful set up their families put together while they are gone. Abby couldn't have been more surprised and she said YES! It truly was the best weekend ever surrounded by the people they love the most!
