Flight
There are a number of different flight options for traveling to the Orange County area - John Wayne (SNA), Los Angeles (LAX), Ontario (ONT), Long Beach (LGB), San Diego (SAN). If you plan on flying in on Friday morning please remember that Friday traffic in California starts early in the afternoon and can significantly add to travel time. Approximate travel times from each airport (assuming minimal to no traffic) to the hotel blocks are: LAX (1-1.5 hrs), SNA (20-30 min), ONT (1 hr), LGB (30-45 min), SAN (1.15-1.5 hrs). LAX is also congested during high traffic volume times. Allow extra time for coming and going. Unless you plan on flying into SNA we'd recommend renting a car to travel from the airport to the hotel/venue/etc.
