When searching for a partner, we often think to look for things in common. But it’s also important to find traits that contrast from ourselves and complement some of our own qualities. That is what we have found in each other. We have so much in common, but many of our best qualities balance the weaknesses of the other. Where Abby is sentimental, Shajan brings logic. Where Shajan may tend to seek comfort in familiarity, Abby’s curiosity leads to adventure. What we have found in each other is balance. It is exciting and comforting and refreshing and peaceful. Shajan is solid and I've always been sure of him. Abby is thoughtful in words and actions, reminding me to be so as well. We are both always up for a laugh, a good meal, and a dog to snuggle. A passion for discovering new places keeps us traveling and eating well. Our love is a peaceful assurance. With each other, we are home. We are filled with gratitude that God brought us together.
