Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Scott May and Abby Polak
The future MAY's are excited to see so many of our favorite people on Jekyll Island! We will be staying through Sunday - stick around for the weekend if you can! Few places on earth are more inviting. From the sprawling beaches to historic ruins, Jekyll Island is a beautiful blend of serenity and discovery. Situated within the chain of the Golden Isles, Jekyll is just a few miles from St. Simons Island, Sea Island and Brunswick. As a State Park, Jekyll Island is a coastal haven where nature and humans peacefully co-exist. From the moment you see the turtle crossing signs, you’ll know you’ve arrived somewhere special. A canopy of live oaks will draw you in. Stories of lavish lawn parties will pique your curiosity. Driftwood skeletons will forever be etched in your memory. Whether it’s through an ancient maritime forest or along the newly updated oceanfront promenade, every path leads to a unique experience you’ll only find here. www.jekyllisland.com

Driftwood Beach is a uniquely beautiful, alien-looking coastline located on the northern end of Jekyll Island, Georgia. Famed for its sun-bleached, ancient trees and tangled driftwood monuments, it is a spectacular place to watch the sunrise.

Bicycling has long been a favorite activity on Jekyll Island. With more than 24 miles of picturesque paths and trails, biking offers a scenic way to see all of the island’s hallmark points of interest. Paths wind around sand dunes, beaches, and historic sites, while our ancient oaks offer ample shade. Bikes can be borrowed for free from the Westin Jekyll Island for 2 hours!
