While we love kids, our wedding will be an adults-only event to give everyone the opportunity to relax and enjoy the celebration. Kids are welcome to join our Sunday brunch to have the chance to participate in the weekend festivities. We hope you understand and are able to join!
Salida is located approximately 3 hours from Denver and 2 hours from Colorado Springs. Most flights will be available at Denver International Airport, where you can rent a car and head up to the mountains! If you'd prefer to use public transportation, you can take the Bustang Outrider (regional bus from DEN to Salida). Take the A-Line train from DIA to Union Station, then Outrider from Union Station to Salida. RideBustang.com/routes/crested-butte-denver/
We are limiting our wedding to the people we know and love most. The name(s) listed on your invitation indicate those invited to celebrate with us. We appreciate your understanding!
Nope! Salida is a small town and rideshare services are not available. Please indicate on your RSVP if you intend to use our complimentary shuttle and plan ahead to get home safely.
Mountain cocktail attire! Think bright, colorful dresses, shirts and floral prints with a rustic touch to complement the mountain peaks and bright wildflowers of our venue. Midi or maxi length dresses or dress pants/trousers with a dress shirt (tie optional) would be perfect! Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be on grass a short walk from our reception, so comfortable boots, wedges or flats are encouraged. Spring in the mountains can bring a range of weather, so we recommend bringing a light jacket and checking the forecast a few days beforehand.
Yes! Our beautiful venue sits at 7,950 feet above see level, which means there is a lot less oxygen than many of you are used to! Make sure to hydrate and keep hydrating often before you arrive and throughout your visit. Dramamine and ibuprofen are great options if you start to feel a headache or nausea coming on. Make sure to rest and don't participate in very strenuous activities right away – give yourself a few days to acclimate! Also remember that one alcoholic drink at altitude is equivalent to two alcoholic drinks at sea level. Don't forget your sunscreen, too! You'll be nearly 8,000 feet closer to the sun!
The shuttles will leave from Silver Ridge Lodge at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday. Return shuttles will depart every 30 minutes starting at 9 p.m. You are welcome to drive to the venue, leave your car overnight and shuttle home. We ask that all cars are picked up by 11 a.m. on Sunday.
