FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire is the official dress code, but make sure it's something you can wear on the beach and walk comfortably in. We aren't super strict on what to wear, just no graphic tees, baseball hats, or white dresses! There will be a bin to store shoes in if you decide you don't want to wear them to the ceremony. Question

When is the rehearsal dinner?

Answer

We are not doing a rehearsal dinner. We will have a welcome reception at the beach bonfire on Friday evening.

Question

How do I get to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be in Neskowin, a short drive from Pacific City. There is a public parking lot and from there a short walk along a creek to the beach. Sam & Abby will meet everyone at the end of the creek before the ceremony. We encourage everyone to carpool as much as possible as there won't be a ton of parking spaces. Question

What is the weather going to be like?

Answer

The Oregon coast is unpredictable in the summer. We suggest planning on temperatures from low 60s-70s (it's rare for it to get above 75). There may be rain, but we will have umbrellas for everyone in case that happens. The reception will be inside our air bnb so you won't have to worry about weather for that!

Question

What is the plan for the reception?

Answer

We will be ordering take out from Pelican Pub. Once we have menu options Sam will reach out to everyone to get their selection. There won't be room for everyone to eat all together at one table, so we will make do and eat where there is space (reiterating here that the event is very casual!). We will have a keg, plenty of wine, seltzers, and sparkling water for drinks. If there is anything specific you like to drink please let us know or feel free to bring your own drinks! There will be music and some dancing, also some board games for those who want to do that. Reiterating again that this is meant to be a fun, casual, backyard barbecue type of gathering. We just want to have fun and spend time with everyone so it is not going to be incredibly formal :)
