Rachel and Abby first met on the pediatric unit at Staten Island University Hospital. Abby was a 2nd year resident doctor & Rachel was the covering pediatric social worker. After a particularly challenging patient case brought them together, they both knew they never wanted to be apart. Rachel kept finding reasons to use the copy machine on Abby's unit until eventually working up the nerve to leave her number. They spent their first date hiking & chatting over tacos & margaritas, expressing their shared love for their dogs, EMS, traveling, and all the ways their paths almost crossed in life. Over a year later, Rachel & Abby share a small apartment in Brooklyn overlooking the city skyline with their two pups, Cody & Ava, reminding each other every day how lucky they are that their paths finally collided.
