Covid

once upon a virus...

Unfortunately, due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we were forced to make a really hard decision. Our beautiful spring wedding that we had set for April 25, now becomes a sweaty summer bash set for August 22. We are so deeply sorry for wreaking havoc on anyone's plans. We wanted what was best for our family and friends, and right now that is to keep everyone home, no matter how bad we want to tie the knot! We appreciate everyone's support, and look forward to seeing you all in August! If you haven't done so already, we would really appreciate everyone re-RSVPing so we can get a head count for our new date! We love you all.

How We Met

dad with the assist

My dad is the ultimate wingman, if anyone is looking for one. Michael and I were destined to be together long before we ever met in person. Michael's mom (Barb) and my aunt (Susie) worked together for many years, and had always schemed up how they could get us together. Michael came to Grand Island during a school rotation and was a student of my dads. He ended up liking Grand Island so much he landed a job here ;) Our paths never crossed for almost two years, but my parents would always talk about him and how one day we would start dating. Fast forward two years and I meet this handsome fella by chance outside of Prairie Pride (a local brewery, imagine that.. ;p ) I came home and told my entire family that I had met my future husband! I thought about him a lot and finally begged my dad to give Michael MY number (I don't think that's really how that should've worked). After some persuasion my dad agreed to it, Michael and I hit it off and the rest is history!
