This was Abby's first weekend visiting Kevin in Olympia, and, our first photos together!

We began a tradition of carving this in places we found that were already full of this kind of thing. This was our first "K+A," and there would be many more to come.

Our first weekend in Quebec! This city was incredible, full of history and charm.

The most STUNNING basilica just outside of Quebec City. We were so grateful to Kev's friend, Xavier, for taking us there.

Our first date was the Great Wheel in Seattle, so anytime we are in a city with a big wheel, we try to go. Abby just LOVES that this takes place very high up.

Riding in our friends' awesome Sprinter van to the Hiawatha Trail. We had the best weekend camping with them in Montana.

Turns out climbing Steptoe Butte is tougher than we thought on a 100 degree day. Kev has given Abby a whole new appreciation for the beauty of the Palouse. It's good to see familiar things through new eyes.

First time meeting Mama Rose in Silver Spring! Mama Rose is the sweetest-- she made us the best Cameroonian lunch!

Ellie's 3rd birthday. Kev INSISTED that Ellie get to eat an entire chicken on her birthday. Guess who she loves more now.

WA DC, Abby's first time at the White House! Joe Biden does a great job mowing his lawn, impeccable work, Joe.

Kev told Abby that there's a joke about the Washington Monument-- it can't be repeated. Very Freudian though.

So cool to see this in real life and not just the movies!

One of our favorite weekend pastimes has been finding new places to walk next to some kind of water. The area we are in has made that pretty easy.

Leavenworth, the town itself is fun, but everything around the town is incredible.

Kev is not a beer guy, today he was a beer guy.
