FAQs

The Wedding Website of Abby Salem and Josh Borrow
This page is mostly for Josh's friends and family coming from out of the country, but everyone is more than welcome to take a look at these Q's & A's below!
Question

Is this a wedding?

Answer

Yes and no! We got married in our living room in January. This is a weekend of celebrations to bring our families and friends together to finally meet!

Question

How do I get to Philadelphia?

Answer

You should fly to Philadelphia International Airport. Once there, you should take a taxi (they are directly outside of the terminal) who have a fixed fare of $32 into Center City, to your hotel. You can also take the train directly from the airport towards Center City. You would depart the train at Suburban or Jefferson station (depending on your hotel location).

Question

What are some things that I'll need?

Answer

Before traveling to the USA, you will need to get an ESTA (which is a visa waiver) if you haven't already gotten one. Also, do not forget travel insurance for the unlikely scenario that you need medical attention.

Question

What about gifts?

Answer

Gifts are not necessary. There will not be space to store gifts at the center city venues. If you would like to give a gift, please send or drop them off at our house instead (1738 Annin St), or bring it to the garden party!

Question

Can I stay at an AirBnB or VRBO?

Answer

AirBnBs are banned in Philadelphia, but you may be able to find a VRBO.

Question

Can I go to any other states while in the USA?

Answer

Yes! New York is an hour away by train. Book tickets on amtrak.com well in advance for very reasonable fares. Similarly, Washington D.C is about 2 hours away in the other direction.

Question

How do I get to Amy and Jerry's house from Philadelphia?

Answer

Closer to the time, we'll work out travel arrangements. It's likely that the easiest way for us all to get up to Huntingdon Valley is via taxi for which we'll make a block booking.
