Question

Where is the ceremony & reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception locations are located in Hamilton, just a brief 10 minute drive from one another. Our ceremony will take place outdoors at Dundurn National Historic Site at the Cockpit Theatre. The reception will be hosted at one of Abby and Jared’s favorite local restaurants, The Diplomat. Abby & Jared have celebrated many special moments and are excited for the best one yet!

Question

Where is parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There is parking available at both locations. The ceremony venue offers free parking on-site. For the reception, which is about a 10-minute drive away in downtown Hamilton, there is paid parking nearby where you can stay parked overnight if needed! Ceremony parking address- 610 York Blvd Reception parking addresses- 73 John St N & 26 James St N

Question

Can I take photos/videos during the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will be an unplugged occasion. We kindly ask that all cell phones and cameras be tucked away and invite you to be fully present with us during this special time. We have professional photographers around to capture every moment and we are happy to share these photos with everyone!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding is a formal event, so we kindly ask guests to dress accordingly. For gentlemen, this typically means a suit and tie. For ladies, elegant dresses are perfect. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Think polished, sophisticated, and ready to celebrate in style! The grass at the ceremony venue may be soft, please choose heels accordingly!

Question

I have a food allergy/dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! The restaurant is happy to accommodate dietary needs and allergies. Please message the bride as soon as possible with any special requests so we can make sure you have a safe and enjoyable meal. Your comfort is very important to us!

Question

Will there be an open bar at the reception?

Answer

Our venue doesn’t offer open bar packages, but don’t worry — we’ve got you covered for the first round (or three!). Each guest will receive 3 drink tickets to sip, celebrate, and cheers with us. After that, it’s your turn to treat yourself!

Question

Do you have a registry for gifts?

Answer

We’re so grateful to have everything we need already! Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift. However, if you’d like to give something extra, we are accepting money towards our honeymoon fund to help us create unforgettable memories together as Husband & Wife. There will be a place for cards at the reception. Thank you so much for your love and support!

Question

Will there be shuttles for out-of-town guests to nearby hotels?

Answer

We won’t be providing shuttle service, but Hamilton has plenty of accessible and affordable Uber and taxi options to get you around easily. If you’re staying in town, transportation should be quick and convenient! If you need recommendations or help arranging accommodations or a ride, just let us know.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP easily right here on our website under the RSVP tab. If you run into any difficulties or have questions, please don’t hesitate to message us—we’re happy to help!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please kindly RSVP by May 15, 2026. This helps us finalize all the details to make our day perfect. Thank you so much for responding on time!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope you’ll enjoy a night off to relax, celebrate, and dance the night away with us! Thank you for understanding.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We’re excited to have an intimate celebration with our closest friends and family! Due to limited venue capacity, we’re only able to accommodate guests who are named on the invitation. If your invite includes a "guest", they are absolutely welcome—otherwise, we kindly ask that you attend solo.
