Jake and I are both from Johnstown, but we went to neighboring school districts. It wasn't until summer of 2016 where we met at senior week in OCMD. After senior week, we would occasionally see each other through mutual friends, but other than that we didn't really talk. Fast forward to 2019, Jake transferred to IUP (where I was going to school) and moved in right down the hall way from my roommates and me. Our friendship quickly grew... eventually we found ourselves hanging out every day and texting all the time. It was April 3, 2019 when we officially started dating!

Jake proposed on April 1, 2023 (yes I thought it was an April Fool's joke)! It was the day we got the keys to our new apartment. Jake told me to get ready because we were going to go to breakfast afterward. We get the keys, go to the new apartment, and start going through the move in check list. I was down in the garage and Jake told me he was going upstairs to look around. A few minutes later Jake called my name... when I got to the top of the steps, he got down on one knee in our new dining room.
