February 5th, 2021 marks Jacob and Abby's first date! We went to dinner, drove around listening to music, then ended the night with a bottle of wine and a game of chess. Can you guess who won? February 6th, 2021 marks the day Abby asked to come pick up her leftovers from Jacob's apartment and the rest is history...
The Grand Canyon truly is like no other and is definitely worth a visit while in Northern Arizona. Jacob and Abby are on a mission to go to all of America's National Parks together. They are currently at 17 out of 63. Although they have both been separately during their time at NAU, they have yet to see the Grand Canyon together.
One of Jacob's favorite places to run, bike, and swim. He has spent countless hours and miles on this road training. Lace up your running shoes, take a scenic drive, bring a hammock, or rent a paddle board to enjoy Lake Mary. Be careful though, if Jacob finds out, he might convince you to sign up for a race with him.
Flagstaff is home of way to many excellent coffee shops, just ask @theflagstaffcoffeereview. Macy's is a favorite of Jacob's and many locals. Choosing a favorite coffee shop is a VERY hard decision for Abby and the answer often changes. Foret Flag has amazing food, coffee, and matcha (don't forget the coco whip on top). You cannot go wrong with Lund Canyon, Brandy's, or White Dove either!
Sedona is an iconic destination in Northern Arizona know for its red rocks, blue skies, and spiritual side. On your way to Sedona stop for a glass of wine (or 2) at Page Spring Cellars, linked below. This winery is locally owned and operated by a family special to us! So check them out and enjoy the incredible wine, excellent food, and beautiful property.
Flagstaff is recognized as the first International Dark Sky City for its work in preserving our night sky natural resource. No doubt that Lowell Observatory has the best seat in the house, but on a clear night from anywhere in town you can look up and see the stars. This is also the location where Jacob's parents got engaged!
