Here are a few of our favorite places to go in the area - some of them are a bit of a drive, but definitely worth it if you have time to explore!

Not interested in going into the city, but still want to check out some museums? Head to the Air and Space Museum in Chantilly! One of our personal favorite museums, this museum holds all the aircrafts that are too large to show in the DC museum, including the Space Shuttle Discovery, the Enola Gay, and more. Plus, admission is free!

One of Abby's favorite wineries to go to. This 21+ winery is set around the original home built in 1765 and features great Virginia Wines and yummy bites!

Located in the heart of Fairfax City, Draper's is a great place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a cocktail. Both the Old Fashioned and the French 75 are great choices!

Originally started in VA Beach, Commonwealth Brewing opened its Fairfax location in 2023, which features specialty beers and seltzers, wine, coffees, and lots of food options, including wood-fired Neapolitan pizza.

One of the most popular breweries in the area, known for its Partly Cloudy IPA. They have an outpost in Falls Church, and their main brewery is located in Sterling, which is fairly close by as well.

As a UVA grad, Abby is very familiar with Starr Hill and their Tysons location is always a great time. They usually have live music on the weekends, fire pits, and bocce.

Located next to Starr Hill, Perch Putt is a fun mini golf course with amazing views of NOVA. The course is fun and you can purchase drinks at the bar to bring on the course.

Tysons Corner is one of the largest malls in America and has just about every store you could possibly need. If you are feeling fancy, check out Tysons Galleria, which features more high-end designers.

O'Sullivan's Irish Pub

Looking for a place to go out for the night - Arlington bars are very fun! Abby and Jackson love O'Sullivan's, which always has live music on the weekends and Guinness on tap.
