Things To Do

Andrew Low House Museum

329 Abercorn St, Savannah, GA 31401
, (912)233-6854

We went here as one of our very first historic homes together. We hope you love history as much as we do! The Andrew Low house was home to a very affluent family before receiving their daughter-in-law, Juliette Gordon-Low. Juliette is the founder of the Girl Scouts of America, and this is the home she lived in when that began.

Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah

234 Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, Savannah, GA 31401

Abby used to work for this company, and she swears by the tour route. This company has multiple locations, various types of tours, and many accompanying museums. If you've never visited Savannah, we recommend you get there early to do a hop-on-hop-off trolley tour. They're fully narrated and can provide transit around the most popular parts of the downtown area all day long.

Savannah History Museum

303 Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, Savannah, GA 31401

This is the main history museum. If you want to see the Forrest Gump bench, it's located inside along with all sorts of information on the city and surrounding area.

Tybee Island Light Station & Museum

30 Meddin Drive, Tybee Island, GA 31328

The first time we ever tried to visit this old lighthouse was on Jack's birthday in 2025. We got stormed off of the beach and, due to the storm, we were not allowed up into the lighthouse.

Fort McAllister State Park

3894 Fort McAllister Road, Richmond Hill, GA 31324

Fort McAllister is a beautiful historic fort from the Confederacy. There is also information on Native Americans and history up to the Henry Ford era.

Bonaventure Cemetery

330 Bonaventure Road, Savannah, GA 31404

Bonaventure Cemetery is the home to many graves, including those of Johnny Mercer, Conrad Aiken, and even Edward Telfair. Many of the headstones and grave markers are extravagantly carved or decorated. This is also the setting of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

Old Fort Jackson

1 Fort Jackson Road, Savannah, GA 31404

Fort Jackson has been a popular choice for school field trips and historic tours for many years. Head here if you're looking for something more historic and less flashy.

Oatland Island Wildlife Center

711 Sandtown Road, Savannah, GA 31410

Oatland Island is a gorgeous wildlife center located in between Savannah and Tybee Island on the marsh. Oatland is home to armadillos, foxes, mountain lions, and alligators, among other critters. It's a very inexpensive way to spend a lot of time outdoors learning new things. Make sure you take sun screen and bug spray!

Coligny Beach Park

1 Coligny Circle, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928

Coligny Beach is one of our favorite beaches to visit, and you might even catch us here before the wedding!
