Harrison and Abby’s story began in May 2019, thanks to a swipe right on Bumble. Their first date was at a happy hour at Lucille's in Austin, Texas—an evening filled with great conversation, plenty of laughs, and an unexpected twist when a minor scooter accident led to eight stitches in Abby's chin. Despite the sutured ending, they had such a great time that a second date was never in question. At the time, Abby was finishing her senior year at Texas A&M University, while Harrison, an SMU alum, was three years into his postgrad career at Oracle. Their connection grew quickly, undeterred by Harrison’s frequent travels, and they made it official on their first trip together to Fairhope, Alabama. Over the years, their love story unfolded through major milestones—purchasing homes, navigating career changes, and traveling the world together. It became clear that they were ready for the next chapter. On April 14, 2024, Harrison brought things full circle, proposing to Abby in the place where their journey truly began—Fairhope, Alabama. To make the moment even more special, he secretly arranged for their families to surprise them after the proposal.
