The most beautiful place to hike and swim. Simply typing in "hikes at the Yuba river" will lead you to some great swimming spots as long as you are willing to walk a bit. If you aren't feeling a hike, you can drive down to the "49 bridge" and get just as much out of the river as a hike. Full disclosure, Nevada County locals can often be spotted "in the nude" so don't be surprised if you come across from locals. Our personal fav spot-Hoyts Crossing, approx 1.5 miles each way.
This is by far our favorite place in the summer. Great for boating, hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, etc. There are two sides to access on the lake. The campsite side and the cascade shores side. If you are looking to explore let us know and we can give you all the details !
