We recommend flying into Wilmington International Airport (ILM), which is of close proximity to Wrightsville Beach, NC (approximately 10 miles, or a 20 minute drive).

Alternatively, you may fly into Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), which provides broader flight options. RDU is approximately a 2 hour drive (140 miles) from Wrightsville Beach, NC.

Getting around Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington, NC

There are Ubers and Lyfts easily available in the area to explore and to travel from the airport to your accommodations. A rental car is not necessary to get around, but if you do prefer to have your own car to explore the area further, there are rental cars available at both airports.

Beach houses and condos are available on Wrightsville Beach, NC through Airbnb and Vrbo. Many don't require a full-week stay and will allow for shorter stays/long weekends. Please make sure when booking, that you select a beach house directly located in Wrightsville Beach to avoid longer commute times to the wedding events, as there are other nearby beaches that may come up in your search.

Holiday Inn Resort Lumina on Wrightsville Beach, an IHG Hotel

This resort is located on the beach a couple blocks away from the welcome party at The Surf Club. It is located a very short drive from the ceremony location. The hotel provides a shuttle service around Wrightsville Beach, and a shuttle to the ceremony location can be requested in advance when you check in.

Shell Island Resort

This is where we'll be having our beach ceremony and cocktail hour. To book, don't forget to mention that you are with the Block-Perez wedding for a discounted rate. The group rate is $309 plus tax per night. These beach-front condominiums are located near the north side of the beach and is more secluded and family-oriented.

Hampton Inn & Suites Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach

This hotel is located a 3 minute drive from the reception venue, Bluewater, and a short drive (approximately 5 minutes) to the beach. Room rates will likely be cheaper than staying directly on the beach, however you will still be very close to all of the wedding events!
