Abby and Dean went here on their first date on April 24th, 2021. Needless to say, it went very well! The pizza is amazing and worth fighting through the weekend crowd. Hopefully you have as good a time there as Abby and Dean did!

Abby took full advantage of the Arboretum while studying at the University of Kentucky, and it is a place that she and Dean miss while living in Austin, TX! If you are traveling to Lexington from out of town, this is the perfect place to stretch your legs and take in the gorgeous native wildlife. If you're a big college football fan, you're in luck because the Arboretum is just a football throw to the Kroger Field Stadium.
The Burl is by far Dean and Abby's favorite hangout spot in Lexington. They spent many a night at the arcade, hanging out with friends, and listening to/playing in the world's best band, Whalerus. Abby's choice of arcade game is Dig Dug, and Dean's is Ms. Pacman! The Burl is located in Lexington's Distillery District, so there is no shortage of food, drinks, and entertainment!
As a bourbon man himself, the Woodford Reserve Distillery is Dean's pick for things to do around town! Although it is about thirty minutes from downtown Lexington, it is well worth the trip. The property is stunning and the bourbon tours are the perfect mix of entertaining and informational. If a tour isn't really your jam, they also offer guided tastings! If a Woodford Reserve Distillery tour or tasting is in your future, Dean and Abby recommend making reservations sooner rather than later as the slots tend to fill up quickly.
