We're married!

We were thrilled to share our wedding day in Tallahassee with all of our friends and family, but as the coronavirus spread, it became clear that the best decision (for us) was to postpone. In October 2020, we closed on our first home in Sanford, FL. Due to these major life changes and the uncertainty of life with COVID-19, we decided to tie the knot in the backyard of our new home! We married with our parents present and our dear friend Ross as the officiant. Although we are so happy to be married, we still want to have a day filled with friends and family. Please join us in Tallahassee on November 6, 2021, to celebrate our first anniversary, vow renewal, health, and happiness!

Dear Guests, When we made the decision to postpone Abby & Charles’ wedding celebration last year, we felt confident it was the right thing to do. By June of this year, we were certain our November 6th rescheduled wedding celebration date would have us on the other side of this pandemic – then the Delta Variant arrived. Today, two months out from our big day, we are hopeful for a break in the variant’s rise but also aware that each person must make the best decision, given his or her circumstance, on how to navigate safely in such uncertain times. Here are a few factors to consider in your decision about attending: - Our venue is primarily designed for outside events: the ceremony (weather cooperating) will be outdoors. - The reception allows for indoor and outdoor seating with high ceilings and three doors left open to two large patios. - The vendors who will be in contact with our guests will be masked. - The catering staff will serve food masked and gloved. - We will have extra masks and hand sanitizer available for guests who might want to use them. - Our bridal party, parents of the couple, and our officiant are fully vaccinated, as are the majority of our guests. - The Hampton Inn has blocked rooms. You may book 30 days up to your arrival, and you may cancel up to 3 days before check in. Again, we are excited to see our friends and family in November, and we will be understanding should you choose not to attend.
