Prallsville Mills is a lovely historic mill on the Delaware River in rural New Jersey. In looking for hotels in the area, we found that while the closest are in New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ – across the river and walking distance from each other – very few of those hotels had any availability Saturday night and none would guarantee early check-in. We decided to secure room blocks at a couple of hotels in or near Princeton – the center of both Abigail’s and James’ lives throughout their graduate school journeys (9 and 8 years, respectively) and a very fun, beautiful town and university. These hotels are a 30-40 minute drive from the wedding venue. You should know that Abby and James are planning a meet-up for wedding guests Saturday night somewhere in Princeton after the rehearsal dinner. Details to follow. Following are the room block choices and some suggestions for other places, in case you want them. NOTE: If you want to only stay on Sunday night, you should be aware that both of these room block options offer early check-in IF available and that regular check-in is at 3 p.m. – too late to get ready and then drive to the wedding, which starts at 4 and is 30-40 minutes away. Nassau Inn thought it would be likely that some people could check in at 1 p.m., but didn’t want to make promises on that. -- From Bobbie Sargent, Abigail's mom and hotel-wrangler extraordinaire

The following accommodations are about 10 minutes from the wedding venue. Both towns are quite lovely and walkable. However, the bigger venues are themselves hosting weddings, or something else, over the wedding weekend, so have very little or no availability on Saturday evening. Therefore, we can’t reserve any rooms, but offer these ideas of places to stay. Perhaps you’ll find something by calling around. Be aware that they might not be able to offer early check-in for Sunday due to the events on Saturday.
